The blender will become a good friend to you when you are on the raw food diet. You can not only use it to make smoothies for yourself out of fruit and crushed ice, but you can also use it to make some healthy raw food diet drinks.

By combining vegetables in the blender that are high in antioxidants and nutrients, you can make some really healthy raw vegetable tonics. Use the blender quite a bit to get the true benefits of raw food.

Careful Washing

When eating any fruits and vegetables raw, or even before preparing them, you need to make sure that you wash them thoroughly. Wash all fruits and vegetables in either fruit wash agents or water. Make sure that they are clean and smell fresh before consuming. Fruits and vegetables can be eaten raw or put in a blender and made into a drink with the raw food diet.

Use Whole Grains

You can use whole grains in the raw food diet and combine them with other raw foods to give you fiber as well as the essential grains that you need for your diet. As you will be spending less time cooking with the raw food diet, you may enjoy using whole grains to make breads of your own.

Soak Seeds and Legumes

Before you can eat seeds and legumes, you will need to soak them in water to make sure that they are soft enough to eat. Seeds and legumes can be eaten raw but are hard in texture. When soaked overnight with water, they are easy to consume and digest.

De-vein Shrimp

If you are eating raw shrimp, make sure that you not only wash it thoroughly, but also de-vein it before consumption. Shrimp and salmon are two fishes that are safe to eat raw so they are often incorporated into the raw fish diet. They are also very high in Omega Fats, which are good fats that you need for a healthy heart.
